Q. Why do
you use 2X6 exterior walls instead of
2X4 ?
A. We like
2X6 exterior walls on our homes because
the extra space
allows for more insulation which in turn
gives you a better R value.Your monthly
heating and cooling bills will be
considerably less. Using
a 2X6 exterior wall gives you a more
structurally sound home. The
thicker wall also gives you thicker
window Jambs allowing for more window
dressing options.
Q. How many
homes do you build per year?
A. Klomp
Custom Homes likes to limit ourselves to
5 homes per year as we like to give
individual attention to each client.
Q. Will
you help me with my design and
decorating choices?
A. Yes. We
are a full service builder. We are
available by appointment 6 days per week to help
with design and decorating decisions.
Q. How long
on average does it take Klomp Custom
Homes to build a home?
A. On
average it takes 4 months to build a
home from the day we excavate to the day
you move in. Although we have done it in
a shorter amount of time. We have never
had a home exceed 5 months.
Q. Do I
have to use one of your blueprints when
I build my home?
A. No we
are a custom home builder. You may use
one of our prints but we can also set
you up with an architect so that you may
"hands on" design the home of your
dreams from the ground up. Each home
we build is special. Each home we build
is different. You will receive
individualized attention when you build
with Klomp Custom Homes.
Q. Do we have to build on a lot
provided by you?
A. No, we also will build on
land you provide

you handle conflict?
A. We like
to treat our clients with respect.
Building a home can be very stressful
and challenging. We try to make the
experience as stress free and as
enjoyable as possible. When conflict
does arise we try to resolve the issue
in a timely and respectful manner.

you treat your clients?
A. We treat
our clients as if they were members of
our own family. Every home we build is
special. We are also excited about
building each new home.
